Deceptively pale in color, the NV Brut Rose Premier Cru presents a tense, vibrant expression of fruit that is highly appealing. Sweet floral notes develop later, but ultimately this is a wine build on acidity and minerality. Lassalle’s Rose is striking in its beauty and purity.

A dessert wine from one of the best producers in what is for many the world’s great sweet wine region – Sauternes in Bordeaux. The winery describes this new addition as a lighter “contemporary” take on classic Sauternes, and it certainly feels fresh with plenty of racy, orange citrus acidity and purity. But with its golden hue and complex flavours of honey, peaches, oranges and apricots, it’s still a classically rich, lusciously sweet wine.

The color is bright golden with amber glints; to the nose it shows notes of apricot, fig, date, candied citrus and Mediterranean maquis. In the mouth its sweetness is perfectly balanced by freshness and minerality. Very long aromatic persistence.

It is full and powerful with a big juicy character that goes on for minutes. Muscular yet covered with pretty fruit. Elegance with force. Hard not to drink.
This Barbaresco presents with a garnet-red color with orange highlights and exhibits a violet bouquet that’s ethereal and intense. Black berries and supple cherry tones dominate the aromas, bursting into a pleasurable harmonious experience on the palate. Great with BBQ, sausages and, of course, a nice cut of steak.
Another great wine from Plantaže in Montenegro at an embarrassingly low price. This Merlot is definitively an elegantly restrained Old-World wine and not a New-World fruit bomb. White port is sort of a strange wine, with out the richness of the non-vintage blends or the finesse of the true vintage ports. However, it makes a terrific chilled aperitif. This sweet Port is the result of blending the very best white wines aged in oak casks. It offers touches of dried fruits, hazelnuts and candied orange. Try this with smoked meats. Sounds weird, but works nicely. This nice bottle makes for a very nice gift.
Wine Spectator-93 points, Wine Enthusiast-90 points.
Amber, golden tawny color. An excellent bouquet, with a characteristic “nutty” character, such as almonds, and delicious mature fruit with hints of orange peel. Rich, sweet and smooth on the palate, it is perfectly balanced, with a long and lingering finish.
Pairs extremely well with vanilla ice cream or crème brulee. Serve slightly chilled to appreciate the full complexity and sensuous pleasure of this wine.

Neutral grape spirit is added to stop fermentation and the wine is placed in old oak cask to age in the traditional “Canteiro” system. Malmsey Madeiras are the sweetest and softest style of Madeira but maintain good acidity. The aromas in this wine include toffee, caramel, and vanilla. It also compliments cheeses such as Gruyere, Petite Basque, and Zamarano which have a nuttier flavor.
Wine Enthusiast 95 points. Light, orange-tinted amber color, magnificent perfumed nose with great class showing an array of dried fruits. Outstanding mature concentrated palate with full honeyed fruit, gorgeously mellowed. Simply delicious with an aftertaste that lasts and lasts. Wine Enthusiast 93 points. A lovely Cabernet, ripe and delicious, yet complex enough to hold your interest. It’s just beginning its journey in the bottle. Very dark in color, with hard tannins, it has an immense core of blackberries and cherries. Give it at least 6–8 years, but it could still be rocking in 2022
Dark ruby-garnet in color, this classic Russian River Zinfandel shows aromas of boysenberry, raspberry, spice, and pepper. Deep and full-bodied, the Family Ranches Zinfandel is balanced with excellent acidity: a powerful, rich and concentrated wine, with flavors of stone fruits, black plum, and nectarine that build through the lingering finish. This lovely wine can certainly be enjoyed now, and will continue to develop with bottle age over the next several years.
Good red-ruby. Highly perfumed aromas of black cherry and menthol lifted by rose and spice oils. Suave, pure and vibrant, with red berry and spice flavors lifted by a pungent minty quality. Nothing black fruit about this vintage. Finishes with fine-grained, rather silky tannins and terrific energy. Less forbidding at this young stage than many recent vintages of this wine, and in a distinctly food-friendly style. This wine benefited dramatically from its final months in barrel.
This is a 100% Jose Lopez Vineyard in the Cucamonga Valley. The vineyard is CCOF organic. It was planted in 1918 and has been cultivated as dry-farmed bush vines. Pair with baked ham, Teriyaki roasted ribs, braised lamb shanks in tomatoes, roasted potatoes, squash and carrots.
Moderately light reddish purple hue in the glass. The nose draws you in with appealing aromas of black cherry tart, blueberry, graham and toast. Mid to full-bodied spiced black cherry core that attacks the mid palate with intensity, persisting on the robust finish. An oak sheen is evident in the background initially but tends to diminish with swirling. The wine picks up interest and nuance over time in the glass; always a good sign. Thoroughly enjoyable now with the balance to hold or improve over the next 5 to 7 years.

We recommend pairing it with barbecued oysters on the half shell or smoked salmon and cheese canapés.

Pomegranate and red currant fruit intermixes with spices and smokiness. The finish delivers notes of graphite and clay.

Cabernet Sauvignon 79%, Merlot 8%, Cabernet Franc 6%, Petit Verdot 6% and Malbec 1%. Picture perfect until late August, the 2007 vintage posed an unusual challenge, with a heat spell in September followed by rains and the threat of frost. Selective harvesting (the majority at night) produced a vintage recalling the generous 2001, with aromas of cassis, nutmeg, raspberries, cola, fresh oats, dark chocolate and forest floor. Polished, supple and harmoniously precise, the 2007 fuses a seamless mid-palate with soft yet sinewy tannins. The wine will age effortlessly for decades.
This ridge-top vineyard looks to the coast in one direction and the Russian River Valley in the other. This Pinot Noir is grown from a grape clone imported from a Burgundy Grand Cru vineyard over 20 years ago. The 2011 Kistler Pinot Noir sees one third new oak. The wine possesses a lot of raspberry and black cherry fruit intermixed with hints of underbrush and forest floor, and has a nice meatiness to its texture. A great wine with salmon or tuna, duck, quail, or pork. It is also a great choice for moderately flavored cheeses like Gruyere, Gouda, and aged cheddar.
The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon shows considerable richness, breadth and power. Dark red berries, grilled herbs, licorice and new leather flesh out in this generous, large-scaled wine. Sweet floral, and mentholated notes are layered into the delineated, tense finish. This is a decidedly soft, gentle wine for Howell Mountain, perhaps because of the addition of 10% Merlot in the blend, which also includes smaller amounts of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Anticipated maturity: 2015-2025.”
Blend: 98% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Petit Verdot. This wine displays all of the lush, concentrated red fruit character that has come to define Cabernet Sauvignon from Monitor Ledge. There is a beautiful balance between depth and brightness with flavors of red briar fruit accented by layers of vanilla and licorice. A rich, creamy mid-palate leads to a satisfying finish, with dusty tannins adding length and dimension.

A beautiful rhone-style blend of Grenache Blanc, Roussanne, Marsanne, and Viognier. Exotic nose of spicy pears and white peaches, almond paste/marzipan, a touch of honeysuckle perfume. Multi-dimensional (many layers), a hard-to-describe range of aromatics, intriguing, almost mysterious! In the mouth it is crisply dry yet creamy and round and full-bodied, with nice almond paste on crisp-yet-juicy pear fruit. This is a very versatile wine that will pair beautifully with a wide range of foods, but especially pork and chicken dishes.
Bottle-aged seven years before release, the 2003 Citation Pinot Noir has developed the complexity only achieved with great patience and proven to be a truly world-class wine. Surprisingly youthful deep garnet color, rich and intense with aromas of dark cherries and rum-soaked raisins, its notes of clove, currants and cinnamon stick are ready to partner with warm bread pudding. French oak is substantial, but completely integrated. Quite masculine, this wine is ready to compete well above its weight class.
90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Merlot, 3% Petit Syrah. This 2012 Aviary Cabernet Sauvignon is deep ruby in color opening with aromas of black berries, dried plums, cigar box, and a hint of pepper. The broad mid-palate is rich and balanced with flavors of plum, currant, and black tea. Softer tannins give this Cabernet Sauvignon definition and structure in a more delicate and approachable style than you will find in some of the overpowering 2012 Napa Valley Cabs. A perfect wine to enjoy both on its own and with food.
