Four Week “Wine 101 Course with Svetlana” $130.00

Join us this spring for an educational and fun four-week wine course, taught by professional Sommelier and Wine Educator, Svetlana Yanushkevich, DWS.   In each class we will taste 6 wines, with fine cheeses, chocolates, and small bite appetizers.

~ Thursday April 5th (6:30-8:30p.m.) Tasting Like a Pro & Sommelier Secrets $30.00 This 2-hour class will teach you the basic vocabulary that you will need to know in order to explore wine to its fullest. We also will learn how to discern different aromas and flavors in wines and how to describe what you like and to enjoy restaurant experiences with a little less fear of the sommeliers

~ Thursday April 19th (6:30-8:30p.m.) Classic Grapes and Wine Regions of the World $30.00 In this class we will compare a grape varietal grown in the “Old World” with the same varietal grown in the “New World” countries and learn about two fundamental winemaking philosophies. 80 percent of the quality wines sold in this country are made from six grape varieties.

~ Thursday May 3rd (6:30-8:30p.m.) Food & Wine Pairing & Enjoying Wines with Cheese and Chocolate $40.00

If you always stick with the “same old, same old” when you order wine, or if you avoid being the one to choose the wine for dinner, this class is for you. Join us to learn about wine & food pairing do’s and don’ts. In this highly interactive class, discover the delectable art of pairing fine wine with gourmet chocolate and artisan cheeses.

~ Thursday May 17th (6:30-8:30p.m.) Collectible Wines vs Everyday Wines $30.00

In this class you will learn how to choose wines for collecting, and which ones should be not kept as long.  We will teach you about decanting, serving temperature, and proper glassware.

About the Author
Svetlana Yanushkevich, the owner of WineNot, grew up on the southern peninsula of Ukraine, known as Crimea. Crimea is famous for its 2,000-year-old tradition of winemaking. As a child she learned about wine from her uncle, who worked in Massandra, the imperial winery of Nikolai II, Czar of Russia. Later she graduated from the Crimean State Agricultural University with an MS in Viticulture, and PhD in Agriculture. She then worked as an Associate Professor of viticulture at the Crimean Agro-Industrial College. In 2002 Svetlana’s roots were transplanted to the United States, where she decided to broaden her education in wine. She enrolled in the London-based Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET), one of the most internationally prestigious programs, and completed its highest degree, Diploma Level, in just 4 years. Svetlana managed the wine program at several very prestigious Philadelphia restaurants, the three-diamond restaurant The Marker, and four-diamond Penne Restaurant & Wine Bar. She worked as wine educator for corporate and private clients in Philadelphia. In 2007 she and her family moved to Nashua, NH, where she decided to open WineNot Boutique, winner of “The Best of The Best Wine Shop of NH 2011-2014” by Hippo, “The Best Wine Store of Greater Nashua 2011″ by Nashua Telegraph, “The Best Wines of Greater Nashua 2011″ by Nashua Telegraph, “The only A rated Wine Shop of NH” by the Better Business Bureau of NH. Svetlana Continues to offer her expertise by offering unique wine educational events to private and corporate clients.
