Join us in the beautiful Hunt Room of the Crowne Plaza Hotel as we welcome renowned Italian Chef, AIS-certified Sommelier and Book author Sarah Fioroni for a night of amazing wine, beautiful stories and fine dining. The social hour and book signing will begin at 6:30pm followed by dinner at 7pm. The cost of the dinner is $90 all inclusive of tax and service fees. Sarah Fioroni will be visiting from her family farm, Fattoria Poggio Alloro, near San Gimignano, Tuscany. Everything Fattoria Poggio Alloro uses in everyday life comes from the farm, making pasta from scratch, utilizing meat from the livestock they breed on the farm, and making wines and olive oil from their vineyards. Sarah Fioroni is the third daughter of Amico Fioroni and she now runs the farm, together with her family. She is the author of the book “A Family Farm in Tuscany”.
Sarah learned how to cook from her mother, aunts, and grandmothers at age 4, and began to cook professionally at age 20. She teaches her cooking style to thousands around the world, hosting cooking demonstrations in United States, Canada, and Europe. She also teaches at their farm, where guests are welcome to visit and participate in cooking classes, wine tastings, as well as spend the night. Interviews with Sarah have appeared in newspapers, magazines and on television in many countries.
We visited Sarah’s farm last year during our Culinary and Wine tour to Tuscany. After a private culinary lesson, and tour of the farm, we eat amazing meal, with a lake of beautiful Poggio Alloro wines, homemade limonchello, and Saffron Grappa, and overlook the famous San Gimignano’s towers. It was one of the most amazing memories of the tour.
Executive chef of Crowne Plaza Todd Lytle will prepare a delicious 5-course dinner, inspired by Sarah’s recipes from her culinary book “A Family Farm in Tuscany”. Each course will be paired with beautiful wines from the Poggio Alloro winery.
