Argentina Wine and Culinary Tour 2018

In the last 4 years WineNot’s travel team has organized four incredible culinary & wine tours. First Piedmont, Italy. Then Champagne, Burgundy, and Paris France. Then Bilbao, Rioja, Navarra, Campo de Borja, Priorat, and Barcelona Spain. Then beautiful Tuscany. This fall we are going to Bordeaux and the Basque Country.

In each tour the goal is to reach the right balance between winery visits, culinary & culture experiences, meeting great local people, and having enough free time for exploring. We like to visit well -known places, but also to take less-traveled roads. We use the tour partners, who are insiders, and know the regions not from the books, but from living there.

Our 2018 wine and culinary tour will be very special……we are going to Argentina. Argentina is one of the top countries I want to travel to with our customers. A few years ago, I was trying to put together an itinerary, but couldn’t find the right partner for this exotic and less traveled country.

Last October I received a phone call from CA. The person on the phone introduced himself as Michael Higgins. He wanted me to purchase his newly released book about Argentina. I wasn’t sure that I wanted make a $500 book purchase.  He told me if I do, he will come to Nashua to meet me in person and do an event for WineNot’s customers. On a cold rainy day in November Michael drove for 10 hours to keep his promise. This meeting was the beginning of our “Argentinian trip project”

Michael Higgings is a very interesting and adventures person. For twenty years he worked as the Publisher of Flying Adventures Magazine (a lifestyle travel magazine for people who own and travel on private airplanes), he is international wine traveler, and a professional photographer. Shortly after we met his book Exploring Wine Regions – Argentina won Best Travel & Wine Book of 2016 and a very prestigious award, as the Gold Medal Winner and the Best Travel Book for 2017 by the Independent Book Publishers Association  Nearly 1,400 books were judged by 150 industry professionals to determine the Gold Medalists.

This trip,  I truly believe, will be a once in a lifetime experience. It will be the combined effort of two very talented people, who are very passionate about culinary, wine, and travel. Until October 1st WineNot clients will have priority in making reservation. After October 1st, this trip will be shared with Michael Higgin’s mailing list.

Please read the  full itineray.

We hope you can join us for this AMAZING trip!!!

Cheers,
WineNot team
