Cembra Kerner 2017, Trentino Alto Adige, Italy $19.99

Kerner is a cross of Schiava and Riesling grapes. Best grown in the light, gravelly and sandy soils of high and sun-facing slopes such as those of the Cembra Valley. Kerner is a straw-yellow wine with greenish highlights and a fresh, vibrant and aromatic nose. The palate is well-balanced, fresh and fruity, carrying delicate peach and apricot notes. 

Food Pairings: White fish, Thai cuisine, Garlic-infused dishes

Cantina La-Vis Chardonnay 2017, Trentino, Italy $16.99

Pale yellow in color with traces of green, it has a pleasing bouquet and fruity notes of Golden apple and pineapple. The flavor is full and well balanced.

Food Pairings: Pasta, Shellfish, Lean fish, Cured meat, Hard and soft cheeses.  

Cordero di Montezemolo Langhe Nebbiolo 2016, Piedmont, Italy $29.99

Bright violet of medium intensity; aromas of raspberry, strawberry and violet. Fresh and robust, full flavor and soft tannins.

Food Pairings: Ravioli in red sauce, Flavorful risottos, Fettucine, Meat stew, Veal, Lamb

Ridolfi Brunello di Montalcino 2012, Tuscany, Italy $55.99

93 Points Wine Enthusiast. Leafy underbrush, new leather, dark berry and chopped herb aromas waft out of the glass. The fresh, chewy palate doles out succulent wild cherry, ripe raspberry, white pepper and cinnamon notes, blanketed in smooth, round tannins. A licorice note caps off the finish. It’s already delicious but will also offer fine drinking over the next several years. Drink 2018–2024.

Nicolis Valpolicella Ripasso 2015, Veneto, Italy $32.99

This opens with aromas of black cherry, bitter almond and graphite. On the palate, blackberry jam, vanilla and cinnamon accompany chewy tannins. Drink through 2020.

Scagliola Primo Bacio Moscato d’Asti NV, Piedmont, Italy $17.99

90 Points Wine Enthusiast. Enticing scents of fragrant white flower, apricot, pineapple and a whiff of wild herb float out of the glass. On the rich frothy palate, notes of sage and candied lemon drop accent ripe apricot and yellow peach alongside a softly foaming mousse. It finishes bright and clean.
